2026 IHSA Baseball State Finals Scheduled for June in Illinois
The Illinois High School Association (IHSA) has announced the schedule for the 2026 baseball state finals, set to take place on June 12 and 13 at two locations across the state. Illinois Field in Champaign will host the Class 1A and 2A championships, while Slammers Stadium in Joliet will be the venue for the Class 3A and 4A competitions.
Fans can look forward to an exciting lineup of games. At Illinois Field, the Class 1A semifinals will kick off at 10 a.m. on June 12 with the Bloomington Super winner facing the Springfield Super winner. The second semifinal will follow at 1 p.m. featuring the DeKalb Super winner against North Clay, the top seed. The third-place match is scheduled for 10 a.m. on June 13, leading into the title game at 1 p.m. on the same day.
In the Class 2A finals at the same venue, the action begins with a semifinal between the Kane County Super winner and the Carbondale Super winner at 4 p.m. on June 12. The other semifinal will see the Peru Super winner take on the Springfield Super winner at 7 p.m. The third-place game is set for 4 p.m. on June 13, with the championship game following at 7 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Class 3A state finals at Slammers Stadium will open with a matchup at 10 a.m. on June 12, where top-seeded St. Rita faces off against second-seeded East Peoria. The second semifinal, beginning at 1 p.m., features the Schaumburg Super winner against the Decatur Super winner. The third-place game is scheduled for 10 p.m. on June 13, with the title contest taking place at 1 p.m.
For the Class 4A finals, also at Slammers Stadium, the action starts at 4 p.m. on June 12 with the Normal Super winner competing against the Kane County Super winner. The second semifinal will occur at 7 p.m., featuring the Schaumburg Super winner versus the Crestwood Super winner. The third-place game is set for 4 p.m. on June 13, culminating with the championship game at 7 p.m.
