5-Star Recruit Beckham Black to Showcase Skills at NBPA Top 100 Camp
Beckham Black, a five-star prospect from Southeastern Prep in Florida, is set to participate in the prestigious NBPA Top 100 Camp, which highlights 120 elite players. The camp, now in its 32nd year, begins tomorrow, with the highlight event scheduled for June 10th. Since its launch in 1994, the camp has seen over 300 alumni transition into the NBA.
Kicking off next week, the camp will feature renowned figures such as former NBA champion Rajon Rondo and esteemed development coach Phil Handy. Shaun Livingston, who oversees elite youth programs at the NBPA, emphasized the camp's commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment, stating, “With this year’s group of coaches, including guys like Rajon, Phil, and Tom, it really enables us to create an elevated environment for players to learn and build long-term habits for success.”
Black, currently ranked as the sixth-best player nationally by Rivals Industry Rankings, is a standout to watch at the camp. His impressive performance helped lead Southeastern Prep to the finals of the Grind Session World Championship, where he recorded a double-double with 16 points and 11 assists, despite the team's narrow 63-68 defeat to Fort Lauderdale Prolific Prep.
Teammate CJ Rosser, also a five-star recruit and the top player in the 2027 class, will join Black at the camp. Rosser had an impressive season with the Grind Session prep school, averaging 16.7 points and 6.7 rebounds. He has garnered attention from major college programs, including Kentucky, Arkansas, and UNC, and has shared insights on his recruitment process.
As both players prepare to showcase their talents, Black holds offers from several Division I schools, including Duke and USC. The camp will also feature other top-tier prospects like Erick Dampier Jr. and King Gibson, with the event set to be livestreamed on June 10th, allowing fans to catch all the action.
