Denny Hamlin Claims Pole Position for 2026 FireKeepers Casino 400, Faces Setback
The NASCAR Cup Series heads to Michigan International Speedway for the highly anticipated FireKeepers Casino 400, bringing together some of the best talent in racing. In Saturday's qualifying session, Toyota drivers showcased their strength, with four securing spots in the top five.
Despite an impressive performance, Denny Hamlin of Joe Gibbs Racing, who clocked in a remarkable lap time of 36.901 seconds to claim the pole, will face challenges at the start of the race. Due to sustaining damage to his vehicle during qualifying, Hamlin will have to start from the back of the field. As a result, Carson Hocevar will now take the front position for the race.
