Detroit Lions Offseason Workout Medical Update: Christian Mahogany
The Lions had their 2026 offseason team workouts in late-April and early-May. It was our first chance to see some returning Lions who may have had injuries last season. Who was seen working out and who was not and what does it tell us?
I recapped the notable player injury news and outlook in my Detroit Lions May 2026 Offseason Injury Updates. Here is the excerpt on Christian Mahogany:
(Age at start of 2026 season.)
Christian Mahogany, OG (25)
November 2025 - Left fibula fracture caused 6 missed games but able to return for final 3 games of season.
An isolated fibula fracture (no sig ligament damage, high ankle sprain, other fracture) could be back in ~8wks. Chris Godwin came back this year in 7wks.
Christian Mahogany hurt 11/2. Regular season ends 1/4. So it is possible he could return depending on details of injury. https://t.co/JY94t3PSqMpic.twitter.com/xp0Sh166dq— Jimmy Liao MD | Detroit Lions Morning Rounds (@JimmyLiaoMD) November 26, 2025
May 2026 - Offseason workouts.2026 OUTLOOK: Fibulas heal well and there are no concerns for residuals for this incumbent LG starter.
