Fenerbahçe's Presidential Contender Eyes Transfer for Dortmund's Guirassy

Fenerbahçe's presidential hopeful Aziz Yildirim is reportedly making strides towards securing a transfer for Borussia Dortmund’s Serhou Guirassy this summer. According to Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Yildirim has purportedly reached an agreement with both the player and the Bundesliga club.

If Yildirim emerges victorious in the upcoming election for the Turkish Süper Lig side, he aims to sign Guirassy as a standout addition to the team. The election results are anticipated shortly, with a definitive count scheduled no later than the club's general meeting on June 6 and 7.

Regardless of the turnout, the vote will proceed, with 44,741 club members eligible to participate. Sabuncuoglu also noted that Guirassy is reportedly gathering information about Istanbul, indicating preparations for a potential move.

While it remains uncertain if the transfer will materialize, initial discussions have seemingly begun. Last season, the 30-year-old striker excelled in the Bundesliga, finishing as the third-highest goal-scorer with 17 goals and one assist across 33 appearances.
