IPL’s all about big hits, right? Those first six overs- the powerplay- can make or break a game. Over the years, we’ve witnessed some breathtaking displays of power-hitting during this crucial phase.
The current record-holder remains SRH’s historic 125/0 against Delhi Capitals in 2024, a feat that shattered the previous record by 20 runs.
Most recently, on April 11, 2026, SRH added yet another entry to this list with a 105-run blitz against Punjab Kings. Since 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad has occupied four of the top seven spots on this list. The opening duo of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma is responsible for three of the top four scores in history.
Interestingly, 8 of the top 10 scores have occurred in the last three seasons alone, showing a permanent shift in how teams approach the field restrictions.
