Incoming Real Madrid boss José Mourinho attends DFB-Pokal to scout Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise

Everyone wants Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise, including Real Madrid.

In fact, incoming Real Madrid head coach José Mourinho was at the DFB-Pokal finale to watch the Frenchman play in person per Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg. Mourinho was seen on video leaving his hotel in Berlin to head over to the game:

Mourinho was exclusively spotted leaving the Hotel Adlon Kempinski in Berlin at 5:25pm on Saturday. Mourinho will sit in the VIP stand following an invitation from Stuttgart board member for sport Fabian Wohlgemuth. A meeting is also planned. @SkySportDE

Bild (via @iMiaSanMia) had a less-than-ominous reason for Mourinho being at the game:

José Mourinho was spotted in Berlin today leaving his hotel towards the Olympiastadion. The Portuguese manager was invited by VfB Stuttgart to attend tonight’s DFB Pokal final. Stuttgart maintains excellent contacts with the agency GestiFute, owned by Jorge Mendes and representing representing Mourinho.

When asked by Sky Germany (via @iMiaSanMia) about the Olise interest from Mourinho, Bayern Munich supervisory board member Uli Hoeneß replied with this: “He can keep five eyes on Olise, he won’t get him.”

Olise is under contract at Bayern Munich through 2029 and neither the club, nor the player have shown any type of desire for a transfer. In fact, there are rumors that the two parties will be looking to execute a contract extension very soon.

So, did Mourinho waste his time? Maybe, but “The Special One” was probably willing to at least take a shot at seeing if Olise is the type of player he wants at Real Madrid.

Oh, and Bayern Munich won the DFB-Pokal 3-0 where Olise had an assist.
