Jett Archuleta, Son of NFL Veteran, Joins Arizona's Desert Mountain High School

Jett Archuleta, the son of former NFL first-round draft pick Adam Archuleta, has officially announced his transfer to Scottsdale Desert Mountain High School in Arizona, the reigning 5A state champions. As he prepares for his senior year, Archuleta is currently unranked among the class of 2027 prospects.

In a recent social media post, Archuleta expressed his enthusiasm for the move, stating, “Excited to announce I just transferred to Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale, Arizona – the defending 5A State champs. Gonna miss my teammates at Chap, but I’m looking forward to playing with my new team and playing high-level football this season. I want to thank my family and everyone who’s supported me through this. DMs open any college coaches or recruiting guys, hit me up with feedback!”

His father, Adam Archuleta, also shared his excitement about Jett's new opportunity, tweeting, “Excited for my son @jettarchuleta0 to play his senior year for @coachconrad41. Getting ready for a good camp circuit this summer and big senior year!” The younger Archuleta’s new coach, Conrad Hamilton, is a former cornerback for the New York Giants and Atlanta Falcons.

Before transferring, Jett played at Scottsdale Chaparral High School, where he had a notable junior season, recording 30 solo tackles, two interceptions, and two forced fumbles. Despite his contributions, Chaparral was unable to qualify for the 5A conference playoffs in 2025. In contrast, Desert Mountain advanced to the playoffs, ultimately winning the state championship after defeating Waddell Canyon View in the finals.

Desert Mountain's roster is strong for the upcoming season, featuring several talented players, including 3-star cornerback Hassan Smith and defensive lineman Davian Whitener, both of whom have received offers from San Diego State. Last season, the Wolves were ranked 14th in the final Arizona 2025 High School Football Massey Rankings.
