Kayshon Boutte Set to Join Patriots for Mandatory Minicamp

New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte has confirmed he will attend the first day of mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, as reported by WBZ's Aaron Parseghian, through Dan Roche. Boutte has been absent from the team throughout the offseason, including missing voluntary organized team activities, raising questions about his commitment amid ongoing contract concerns.

Currently in the final year of his rookie contract, Boutte's future with the Patriots appeared uncertain, especially following the acquisitions of A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs. However, he expressed confidence about his situation, stating, "I try not to buy into it. At the end of the day, I can control what I can control. As long as I’m doing what I’m supposed to be doing off the field, everything else will play out."

Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel has maintained a positive outlook regarding Boutte, who has been the focus of trade discussions recently. "I have a great amount of respect for Kayshon. Watching him mature and grow through the entire time that we spent together, that's a credit to Kayshon, that's a credit to Todd Downing," Vrabel said. He added that he expects Boutte to continue developing based on his performance from last season.

If Boutte remains on the roster, the Patriots could field one of the most formidable wide receiver groups in the league, featuring Brown, Doubs, and other talents like Mack Hollins, DeMario Douglas, Kyle Williams, and Efton Chism III.
