The Chicago Bears enter next season as one of the best teams not only in the NFC, but the entire NFL.
As long as Caleb Williams continues to develop at the level we've seen him at over the past two years, the first two of his NFL career, things are definitely going to be bright for this organization.
However, I am a bit skeptical that the Bears made all of the right decisions this offseason, especially on the offensive side of the football.
Moving on from DJ Moore wasn't the worst idea, and I definitely get it, but I'd like to see the Bears go out and add another receiver. According to the latest from Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, while no other team has been involved with the Philadelphia Eagles on a potential trade for A.J. Brown, I think that should be viewed as a good thing for Chicago, and it should throw its hat into the mix.
“Is there another team that gets involved here? I have not found one,” Fowler said, per MassLive.
“It was rumored that the Chiefs once upon a time, I was told no. The Rams we know looked into it. I don’t know if it got to a serious level, but it definitely was an inquiry and that didn’t go anywhere. Would the Rams get back involved? I don’t know that they would. So, if you can get other teams involved, perhaps Philadelphia can get more in return. But, right now, it looks like there’s one team.”
The one problem here is that the Bears would likely have to give up decent draft capital they probably don't want to part with.
Right now, the Bears' biggest concern is adding another edge rusher, not a receiver. However, if he could be had for a reasonable price, it's certainly something to look out for.
