Michigan State Among Top Contenders for Elite In-State Offensive Tackle Antijuan Wilkes Jr.

Michigan State University has secured a spot on the list of 12 schools vying for the attention of one of the most highly regarded players in the 2028 recruiting class. Antijuan Wilkes Jr., an offensive tackle from Detroit, unveiled his top school selections on Thursday, which includes the Spartans. Other institutions in the mix are Georgia, Miami (FL), Missouri, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Michigan, Florida, LSU, Oregon, and Alabama.

Wilkes, who competes for the renowned Cass Tech high school team, stands out as a five-star prospect. He is recognized as the top offensive tackle and ranks sixth overall in Rivals' 2028 class ratings. The talented athlete has received offers from nearly 30 different programs, with Michigan State being one of the earliest to extend an invitation last October. The new coaching staff at MSU has actively pursued Wilkes since then, demonstrating their commitment to bringing him to East Lansing.

As a towering 6-foot-7 and weighing 280 pounds, Wilkes is a formidable presence on the field. His performance has caught the attention of college recruiters across the nation, solidifying his status as a key player to watch in the coming years.
