Nashville Predators Revamp Front Office Structure with Key Appointments

In a significant shakeup within the Nashville Predators' front office, the organization has made two pivotal changes aimed at redefining its future. Rob Blake, a distinguished member of the Hockey Hall of Fame and former general manager of the Los Angeles Kings, has been appointed as the team's new Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations. He will collaborate closely with Chris MacFarland, who has just taken on the role of general manager. Together, they will guide crucial decisions regarding hockey operations as the franchise prepares for the upcoming NHL Draft in an effort to rejuvenate its roster.

Simultaneously, the organization is bidding farewell to Brian Poile, who has served as the Assistant General Manager and Director of Hockey Operations. Poile, the son of the team's former long-time general manager David Poile, has dedicated nearly 16 years to the franchise, including the last eight years in his assistant GM role. This transition marks a clear shift in the team’s internal dynamics.

Majority owner Bill Haslam has expressed a desire for transformative change within the organization, and these recent moves reflect that ambition. With Poile's departure, longstanding voices within the team are making way for Blake and MacFarland, who are set to steer Nashville into a new chapter of its hockey operations.
