Oregon Ducks Secure Commitment from 3-Star EDGE Achilles Reyna

After just one year on the football field, three-star EDGE Achilles Reyna has attracted attention from several Division-I programs, including the Oregon Ducks, LSU Tigers, and Texas A&M Aggies. Following his official visit to Eugene this past weekend, Reyna has chosen to commit to the Ducks, as reported by Rivals' Brandon Huffman. He is the third player to commit to Oregon on the same day, joining wide receiver Malachi Garlington, who recently switched from Washington State, and tight end George VanSandt.

Standing 6-foot-8 and weighing 250 pounds, Reyna also excels in basketball at Rainier Beach High School in Seattle, WA. Despite having only one season of football experience, he is currently ranked as the No. 73 defensive lineman and No. 611 player nationally in the 2027 class by 247Sports Composite. After visiting Oregon three times, he felt it was the right place to further his football ambitions.

“This was my third time going to Eugene and it was the best one so far," Reyna told Huffman. "Down to how all the players interact with each other and us recruits, it really felt like home." While he has potential in basketball, Reyna expressed his aspirations for an NFL career and believes that Oregon will help him achieve those dreams. “The culture and the way I’ll be able to develop as a player playing against the best offensive line in the country, iron sharpens iron," he said. "Eugene really felt like home for me and I’m excited to spend my college career there and hopefully make it to the NFL from there because they are a highway to the NFL."

With his commitment, Reyna becomes the 17th addition to the Ducks' 2027 recruiting class, joining other four-star defensive linemen like Rashad Streets, Zane Rowe, and Cameron Pritchett. Oregon continues to build a strong roster for the future, reflecting its competitive spirit and commitment to player development.
