Spinning Back Clique: Rousey wins big, McGregor books MMA return
Check out this week's "Spinning Back Clique," MMA Junkie's weekly live show that takes a spin through the biggest topics in mixed martial arts.
This week's panel of Brian "Goze" Garcia, Mike Bohn and Danny Segura will join host "Gorgeous" George Garcia live at noon ET (9 a.m. PT) to discuss and debate the following topics:
- MVP launched its first-ever MMA event, and boy did it leave plenty to digest. On top of shaking up the MMA industry by taking the sport to Netflix, and potentially setting themselves up as a future rival to the UFC, there were many results of significance: Ronda Rousey submitted Gina Carano in 17 seconds, Mike Perry went to war with Nate Diaz and handed him a TKO loss, Francis Ngannou got another first-round KO to further his case of being 'The Baddest Man on the Planet.' What do all these results mean for the sport? Where do the winners and losers go from here? We discuss.
- UFC CEO Dana White announced the full card of UFC's 2026 International Fight Week, which wil be UFC 329. This event is headlined by the return of MMA superstar Conor McGregor in a rematch against Max Holloway at welterweight. Fans have been waiting for McGregor's return for five years now, and it looks like it's finally going to happen on July 11. We react to McGregor's return, plus other bouts announced for the card.
- Lastly, we recap Saturday's UFC Fight Night 276. Although MVP MMA might've stolen most of the headlines, there was some action over at the Meta Apex. In the main event of the card, Arnold Allen dominated Melquizael Costa to get himself back on the win column and protect his ranking in the top-10 of the division. We analyze and break down Allen's big win.
