However, the Trojans managed to regain control in the later innings, setting up a situation where they must win twice on Sunday to advance, while the Aggies need only one victory.

In a significant development for Texas A&M, head coach Michael Earley announced that star pitcher Aiden Sims will be sidelined for the rest of the postseason due to a re-aggravated injury. Earley emphasized that further attempts to play Sims could jeopardize his long-term health, leaving the Aggies in search of a new ace for this critical game.
