Blue Jays Make Bo Bichette Decision After Missing Yankees Game

The Toronto Blue Jays were without shortstop Bo Bichette (knee) in the last two games against the New York Yankees, but that didn't stop them from defending the Rogers Centre. They won Monday's bout 5-4 and Tuesday's 12-5, putting them just one game behind the Yankees atop the AL East.
The fact that Toronto won both games without Bichette, who leads with team with 97 hits, showed that it has a deep roster. Superstar Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 2-for-4 with three RBI on Monday, and veteran outfielder George Springer went 3-for-4 with two homers, seven RBI, and two runs scored on Tuesday.
The Blue Jays announced Bichette's status before Wednesday night's rematch, via MLB.com's Keegan Matheson.
"John Schneider says that Bo Bichette feels a bit better today and will try to warm up with a regular day," he reported. "They’re hoping he’s available off the bench tonight, but that’s still TBD."
Infielder Ernie Clement will start at shortstop and hit sixth.

Right-handed pitcher Jose Berrios (4-3, 3.26 ERA) will start against Yankees right-hander Will Warren (5-4, 4.37 ERA). Berrios had no earned runs allowed over his last two starts.
Toronto will finish its series against New York on Thursday night before hosting the Los Angeles Angels over the weekend. After that, it will hit the road to face the Chicago White Sox and Athletics before returning home to play the San Francisco Giants and Yankees.
The Blue Jays are tied with the Tampa Bay Rays for second place in the AL East.
