Georgia in 'Hot Pursuit' of Highly Coveted Playmaker

The Georgia Bulldogs are rapidly approaching a commitment date with one of their top receiver targets. But the Bulldogs aren't letting any moment before that date to pass without pushing for the recruit.
On3's Jeremy Johnson reported on Friday that the Bulldogs are in "hot pursuit" for four-star wide receiver Craig Dandridge.
“The communication with Georgia has been very frequent,” Dandridge told Johnson. “I always hear from one of the coaches. Even being up there at the 7-on-7, they were pulling me aside and talking to me and seeing how my family was doing.
"They’re always constantly making an effort to reach out.”
The tactic appears to be working. Johnson reported the Bulldogs "made a major impression" when the receiver was in Athens, Georgia on an official visit.
"Georgia is in hot pursuit of 4WR target Craig Dandridge. The 4WR has a commitment date and is feeling the love from Georgia’s staff. #GoDawgs," Johnson wrote on X.

Johnson also mentioned in his article that Dandridge is expected to make his college decision on June 26.
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine also projected Georgia as the favorite to land the four-star receiver.
The prediction machine projected the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets as the biggest competition for Dandridge. The receiver is also scheduled to make official visits to the Tennessee Volunteers and Stanford Cardinal.
Dandridge said the Bulldogs treated his family "extremely well" when they came with him on his visit. He added that is an important factor in his recruitment.
“I saw my family having a great, fun time and that was really important to me," Dandridge said. "It was amazing to have my family there so they could also get the experience, because I’m very fortunate and grateful to be able to take these visits, because not a lot of people have the opportunity.”
According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Dandridge is the No. 38 receiver and 26th-ranked Georgia prospect in the 2026 recruiting class.
The wideout is also a top 250 recruit for 2026.
