Meet the over 100 St. Cloud-area athletes competing this week at 2025 MN state track meet

SAINT CLOUD — St. Cloud-area varsity track and field teams are sending more than 100 athletes to the Minnesota state finals.

At the state meet Tuesday through Thursday, June 10-12 at St. Michael-Albertville, athletes will represent every school in the St. Cloud locale. Becker is sending ten individual athletes after winning the boys and girls Section 8-2A meet May 28 in Monticello. The Bulldogs beat St. Cloud Tech, St. Cloud Apollo and Foley at the tournament, though five Tigers made state individually with two Eagles and two Falcons.  

ROCORI also has 10 athletes going to the Class 2A meet and Albany is sending three after competing at the Section 8-2A meet May 31 in Pequot Lakes. Holdingford is sending eight to the smaller class, Eden Valley-Watkins/Kimball is sending five, Cathedral five, Royalton three and St. John’s Prep two. 

Sauk Rapids-Rice and Sartell-St. Stephen took on other Class 3A schools at the Section 8-3A championships at STMA. Six Sabres and four Storm competitors qualified for state. 

Holdingford junior Rilee Breth, Tech sophomore Li’Yun Nelson and ROCORI senior Kate Van Erp qualified for three individual state events. Read below for other local state athletes and their qualifying times.
