Mike Vrabel lauds one area as strength for Patriots in 2025

New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel believes that the defensive line and linebacker positions are going to be strengths for the team in the upcoming season.
When speaking with media members on Monday, he noted that the investments made in the front-seven during the offseason are a big reason for his confidence in those units. The linebacker position was upgraded with the additions of veterans Harold Landry III, Robert Spillane and Jack Gibbens. All three players have a history of working with Vrabel in the past.
They also signed free agent defensive tackle Milton Williams to a historic deal, while also spending two draft picks on defensive tackle Joshua Farmer and edge rusher Bradyn Swinson.

The defensive front should also be helped by a solid Patriots' secondary that added veteran Carlton Davis III to play opposite of All-Pro cornerback Christian Gonzalez. That extra time of opposing receivers fighting to get free should only increase the sack window for the front-seven.
New England has improved at every level of the defense in the offseason, and there's a chance they could once again reign as one of the top units in the NFL.
