Second round picks from Boston Celtics Jrue Holiday-Anfernee Holiday trade revealed

We now know the draft assets that the Boston Celtics will get in their trade of veteran guard Jrue Holiday for Portland Trail Blazers guard Anfernee Simons, per recent reporting from The Stein Line's Jake Fischer. The deal, which broke late on Monday night, sees the Celtics get younger and cheaper in the trade, with Boston saving $4.7 million in salary cap hit (and over $40 million in potential tax penalties) as a result of the move.
But Boston President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens and company did not just get cap relief and a younger timeline by moving on from the 35-year-old Holiday, they also picked up a pair of second round picks.
According to Fischer, those picks include "a 2030 second-round pick from the Knicks and the Blazers' own 2031 second-rounder."
Those picks could both end up being fairly high value, pending what the New York Knicks and Portland manage to do over the next few seasons.
With the lifecycle for contending seemingly shorter than ever, Boston might have landed themselves some very useful tools to make moves or add depth in the medium-term future.
