The Pittsburgh Steelers saw a lot of roster shakeup this offseason. Swapping out another short-tempered receiver George Pickens for DK Metcalf in trades, signing 41-year-old free agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and bolstering the secondary by trading for All-Pro Jalen Ramsey all headline the team's moves to add to the roster.

One constant that remains with the organization - as it has for the past 18 seasons - is head coach Mike Tomlin.

The one-time Super Bowl champion coach has notoriously never had a losing season in his tenure with the Steelers, leading most media and casual fans to believe in his expertise and assume that he is someone players enjoy working with.

CBS Sports' Aditi Kinkhabwala says some former players would say otherwise.

"I'll just say this without violating anybody's trust," Kinkhabwala said during a bombshell radio segment with Pittsburgh's 93.7 The Fan, via Steelers Depot. "There are many, many, many former players that I have spoken to that have bitten their tongues about their experience with [Tomlin]."

Some also believe that the team's aggressiveness in team building this offseason are the result of desperation to contend in the AFC, suggesting Tomlin could be on the hot seat if the Steelers fail to perform.

Steelers Depot adds that the team's success this season may not dictate Tomlin's job security, however concerning.

"When the Steelers and Mike Tomlin go their own ways, it's gonna be up to Mike Tomlin," Reporter Gerry Dulac claimed, as shared by Joe Clark. "Unless the bottom falls out, and the bottom hasn't fallen out, nor is it about to. So I think it's gonna be up to when he wants to leave, is when that's going to happen."

Another reporter said the team is "out of patience" when it comes to Tomlin and his playoff success. Pittsburgh is 0-5 in the postseason since 2018. The Steelers lost their last five games of the season last year, including the Wild Card round.

Tomlin signed a three-year contract extension with the Steelers last offseason, but if these concerning reports expose the true workings within the walls of the black and gold, the head coach's storied career in Western PA could be on its final leg.

One way to respond to those rumors is to win football games in 2025, something the Steelers are plenty poised to do after a productive offseason.
