Three Nittany Lions named Preseason All-Americans

The Walter Camp Football Foundation has released its annual Preseason FBS All-America Team, and three Penn State players have made the cut.
Senior running back Nicholas Singleton made it as one of the two RBs on the First Team Offense along with Notre Dame's Jeremiyah Love. Last season, Singleton had 1,099 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground as well as 41 catches for 375 yards and 5 touchdowns through the air.
Junior defensive tackle Zane Durant made it on the First Team defensive line, joined by South Carolina's Dylan Stewart, Texas' Colin Simmons, and Clemson's Peter Woods. Durant finished last season with 42 tackles, 11 TFLs, and 3 sacks.
Junior offensive guard Olaivavega Ioane also was honored, making it onto the Second Team. He was joined by fellow offensive linemen Ar’maj Reed-Adams (Texas A&M), Cayden Green (Missouri), Jordan Seaton (Colorado), and Logan Jones (Iowa). Ioane started all 16 games last season at left guard for the Nittany Lions, and he was named to the All-Big Ten second team.
Notably absent was quarterback Drew Allar, who was passed over in favor of Clemson's Cade Klubnik (first team) and Arizona State's Sam Leavitt (second team).
The honors go a long way in speaking to Penn State's goal of getting back to the National Championship game.
The Nittany Lions earned their first ever College Football Playoff wins last season, and they are hungry for more. They are returning a number of key contributors on defense while also potentially having the best offense of the James Franklin era.
