Deion Sanders and Colorado were dealt a blow on Wednesday as five-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan announced his commitment to Alabama.

The 6-foot-4, 210-pound wideout from Alexander City (Alabama) was one of the top uncommitted prospects in the 2026 recruiting class. This comes after Morgan made a surprise visit to Boulder two weeks ago and had a glowing review of Coach Prime and his staff at the OT7 Finals over the weekend. Alabama beat Colorado, Auburn, Georgia, and Florida for Morgan's commitment.

"Bama made, Bama raised, Bama stayed," Morgan said via On3's Hayes Fawcett.

"I've seen what they did at Washington with Coach Grubb, the OC," Morgan told ESPN. "It was a great thing to watch when they were at Washington the way they got it up and down the field; they had multiple 1,000-yard receivers on their team. So I'm just excited to see what kind of offense they have this year."

A tri-sport athlete at Benjamin Russell High School, Morgan has 106 receptions for 1,784 yards and 18 touchdowns over the past two seasons. On the hardwood, he averaged 14.4 points and 11.3 rebounds per game. In fact, his first focus was basketball before converting to football full-time. Morgan also has a background in track and field.

Colorado has brought in many top visitors, but only has five players in next year's class. The list is headlined by four-star defensive back Preston Ashley, who was one of two recruits in June. The Buffs need to make up some ground on the recruiting trail as they're currently 100th overall in the nation and last in the Big 12.
