Vote for Louisville-area high school of year (boys programs) before polls close
There were plenty of standout performances from Louisville-area athletes during the 2024-25 prep sports season.
Voting is underway for The Courier Journal's high school of the year (boys programs). The poll closes at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, and the winner will be announced Wednesday, June 25.

Here are the nominees:
Trinity
The Shamrocks racked up state titles this school year, winning in baseball, Class 6A football, Class 3A Track and Field Outdoor State Championship, bowling and lacrosse.
St. Xavier
St. Xavier won its 37th consecutive KHSAA Swimming and Diving State Championship this school year. The Tigers also won the first sanctioned KHSAA boys volleyball state championship.
Christian Academy
Christian Academy secured its three-peat in the KHSAA Class 3A football championship, the Centurions' fifth in nine years.
South Oldham
South Oldham had some teams advance to state tournaments. The lacrosse program was the runner-up in the state championship against Trinity. The basketball team made it to the Sweet 16 semifinals.
Butler
Butler soccer won the Sixth Region championship, and the boys basketball team made it to the regional final.
