What are the best- and worst-case scenarios for Tennessee Titans in 2025?

As the Tennessee Titans move through their final minicamp, no one knows what to expect from the team in 2025.
Entering the season with a rookie quarterback, a retooled roster, and some inexperienced depth pieces, Tennessee is sort of a wildcard as the season comes into focus. Football analysts and the media are somewhat split on what will happen, and rightfully so. Tennessee has one of the weakest schedules in the league and plays in what many believe is the worst division in football.
CBS Sports analyst Cody Benjamin examined Tennessee (and the rest of the NFL) and came up with the best- and worst-case scenarios for each team in 2025.
Tennessee Titans
Best-case scenario: The big-play bravado of rookie Cam Ward, coupled with savviness from vets like Tony Pollard, Calvin Ridley, and Tyler Lockett, launches Tennessee into wild-card territory out of the wide-open AFC South.
Worst-case scenario: Ward is splashy but just as reckless as predecessor Will Levis, once again forcing coach Brian Callahan to produce answers he doesn't have, and Tennessee's occasionally scrappy defense can't pick up the slack.
Benjamin is correct, the Titans will only go as far as Ward will take them. While the young quarterback has looked good so far during offseason workouts, the regular season is an entirely different obstacle to overcome, and at this point, anything could happen.
The Titans do have a lot of questions heading into the season, and the truth is that it is impossible to predict what will happen during the season. Right now, Tennessee has the same shot at success as every other team in the NFL. Plus, if history is any guide, some team will surprise and rise from the depths and take their game to the next level, and there is no reason why that can’t be the Titans.
