Sunday will be a marathon for those contending at the 2026 Genesis Scottish Open.

Saturday's action faced two separate lengthy fog delays, so many players will have to return to the Renaissance Club early Sunday morning to finish the third round before the final round can begin. At the time play was suspended, dozens were still in contention, all chasing the two co-leaders, Matt Fitzpatrick and Michael Thorbjornsen.

2026 Genesis Scottish Open prize money

The Scottish Open has a $9 million total prize fund, with $1.62 million going to the victor.

What else does the winner of the Scottish Open get?

If not already qualified, the Scottish Open champ gains entry into the 2026 Open Championship. Further, the Scottish winner also earns an invitation to the 2027 Masters, something that was new last year when Chris Gotterup won the Scottish. It was part of an expanded invitational list of several national opens around the globe.
