3 Broncos made AP's top NFL players list (plus Sean Payton as a coach)

With training camp right around the corner, it's officially List Season in the NFL.

The Associated Press recently ranked the top five players at each position group across the league, and three Denver Broncos players made the cut.

Notably, Pat Surtain was named top-ranked cornerback for the second consecutive year.

"Surtain received seven first-place votes from a panel of eight AP pro football writers who ranked the top five players at the position, basing selections on current status entering the 2026 season," Rob Maaddi wrote for AP.

Additionally, Quinn Meinerz was the third-ranked interior offensive lineman and Garett Bolles was the third-ranked offensive tackle. On defense, Zach Allen fell in the also received votes category at defensive tackle.

The squad is led by Sean Payton, who ranked fifth among 32 head coaches in the AP survey.

• CB1: Pat Surtain
• IOL3: Quinn Meinerz
• OT3: Garett Bolles
• HC5: Sean Payton

Surtain, Meinerz and Bolles all received AP All-Pro recognition following the 2025 season, so it's no surprise that they have been ranked among the best players at their respective positions going into the 2026 campaign.
