Barcelona teenager Pau Cubarsi has won the the FIFA Young Player Award at World Cup 2026 after a brilliant campaign with champions Spain.

Cubarsi was an ever-present in the backline for Luis de la Fuente’s side as they enjoyed a superb tournament, remaining unbeaten throughout and securing a 1-0 win over Argentina in the final.

Spain conceded just one goal throughout the campaign, highlighting what an excellent job they did defensively in the USA, Mexico and Canada.

The final was a good day for Barcelona fans as Cubarsi, Pedri, Dani Olmo, Eric Garcia, Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal all featured in the final, while Gavi and Joan Garcia were unused substitutes.
