Bayern Munich News: FC Bayern not making move for Chelsea phenom…yet; James Rodríguez getting another chance in Europe?; and MORE!
Falk says Bayern not opposed to Derry, but it’s not a thing at this point (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)
Last week, there was a rumor that Bayern Munich had interest in Chelsea FC prospect Jesse Derry, but — as of now — there is nothing serious brewing:
To be honest, I haven’t yet heard Jesse Derry’s name at Säbener Straße. But that doesn’t mean he couldn’t be an option for Bayern Munich. I looked into the 19-year-old winger, and he’s very interesting for FC Bayern, especially given he wouldn’t be so expensive. He could be a good backup option. But, at the moment, in the offence, Bayern have their solutions. If Derry is cheap and wants to come to Bayern Munich, officials could point to the fact that the club experienced a lot of success with the last young player to come from Chelsea, Jamal Musiala. If they have a chance to have such a talent for a small amount of money, I think Bayern would have to discuss this. But I haven’t heard anything concrete on the subject as of now.
If you want to get to know Derry a little better, here is a highlight video:
While there is no roster space now, maybe this is a name to remember at Bayern Munich for the future?
Marmoush to leave City? (TEAMtalk)
Former Eintracht Frankfurt attacker Omar Marmoush could be looking to leave Manchester City:
Omar Marmoush is set for key talks with Manchester City over his future amid growing interest from England and Germany, with TEAMtalk understanding both Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle are showing interest.
The Egyptian international has emerged as one of the more intriguing names to watch before the transfer window closes after slipping down the pecking order during the second half of last season.
We can reveal that Tottenham and Newcastle have both made enquiries about the versatile forward, while there is also significant interest from several Bundesliga clubs, who are keen to bring Marmoush back to Germany.
It would be interesting to know which Bundesliga clubs would be looking at Marmoush. Maybe…Borussia Dortmund?
Andrich to Eintracht? (Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg)
Bayern Leverkusen stalwart Robert Andrich is on the radar of Eintracht Frankfurt, who could use a bit of veteran leadership on the squad:
🚨🦅 Eintracht Frankfurt are exploring a move for Robert Andrich, post @Kicker and confirmed.
Eintracht view him as a leader who can help the team. Andrich has been informed of Frankfurt’s interest. Talks are ongoing. However, there are currently no negotiations with Bayer 04 Leverkusen, meaning there is no price tag at this stage. @SkySportDE
Lazio chasing James? (Transfer journalist Rudy Galetti)
Is James Rodríguez about to get yet another chance? Maybe:
🚨💣 EXCL | Lazio are evaluating James Rodríguez as they look to strengthen their attacking options.
The Colombia captain, now a free agent after his spell at Minnesota United, impressed at the World Cup and is among the profiles currently being monitored by the Italian club.
Lazio…Lazio…Lazio. Have you learned nothing?
A Bremer-Kim swap? (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)
It seems like Kim Min-jae is going to stay at Bayern Munich, but before that became solidified, there was one — probably wishful — thought that there could be a swap deal in the works involving Kim and Juventus center-back Gleison Bremer:
✅ It is TRUE: Gleison Bremer is also on the shortlist of Bayern. Not just this summer, but also for several years. Min-jae Kim, however, is still at the club. It’s an interesting situation, as Juventus are keen on Kim, and Bremer could be an option for Bayern Munich. So, there could be an idea of a swap deal. But I heard that there’s nothing concrete; there are no talks with Kim at the moment. So, as long as Juventus doesn’t make a move for Kim, Bayern won’t make a move for Bremer.
PSG wants Digne (Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano)
Paris Saint-Germain could be looking to bring in France left-back Lucas Digne:
🚨🔴🔵 Paris Saint-Germain held initial talks over possible addition of Lucas Digne as new left back.
PSG to move post World Cup but #AVFC start exploring options including Estupiñán and more.
His Aston Villa deal includes release clause over €10m, as @TomCollomosse reports.
Later, Romano would add more info and indicate that the deal was done:
🚨🔴🔵 Lucas Digne to Paris Saint-Germain, here we go! Verbal agreement done with the French left back.
PSG already informed Aston Villa: they will pay the release clause after the World Cup, fee under €10m. 🇫🇷
Digne accepted role as Nuno Mendes’ backup at PSG. 🫱🏻🫲🏼
