Broncos to win division over Chiefs in DAZN’s 2026 AFC West preview
The Kansas City Chiefs have a strong chance to win their division in 2026, but were not picked over the Denver Broncos to come out on top in DAZN’s AFC West preview for the upcoming season.
“[Kenneth Walker III] was a smart pickup for the Chiefs, but with [Trent] McDuffie gone and [Travis] Kelce entering the final chapter of his career, [Patrick] Mahomes would need to be at his very best to give Kansas City a chance [to win the AFC West].
"The Chargers have the roster to compete, but the guard situation still worries me, and the lack of experience at wideout could hurt them when it matters most. The Raiders aren't ready to win it yet, but they'll make their presence felt in divisional games and could yet play spoiler.
"That leaves Denver. Some would consider their odds to be long, and it may be closer than last year, but if Waddle is the missing piece that unlocks Nix's next level, the Broncos could prove good value at 21/10." — Jason Abbey, DAZN
While Abbey wasn't bullish on the Chiefs' prospects of winning the AFC West in 2026, the odds are actually in Kansas City's favor. According to DAZN, the Chiefs had 7/4 odds — or an implied probability of 36.4% — to win their division this season, followed by the Los Angeles Chargers, Broncos, and Las Vegas Raiders at implied probabilities of 35.7%, 32.3%, and 5.3% to win the AFC West, respectively.
