Check out Steelers rookie Eli Heidenreich working hard ahead of training camp
The Pittsburgh Steelers 2026 NFL Draft class looks like a group who are paced to help this team in the future but for the most part, this group isn't an "instant impact" type of class. However, there are at least a couple of players who look the part of NFL contributors already. One is wide receiver Germie Bernard who seems to have already locked up the slot receiver position.
And the other might be running back/wide receiver Eli Heidenreich. Pittsburgh took everyone by surprise when they selected the former Navy star in the seventh round but from the moment he walked out on stage at the draft, he was a fan favorite.
As a seventh-round pick, Heidenreich knows he has to work a little harder to make the 53-man roster and based on these videos posted to social media, he understands that and is working hard in preparation for training camp.

Heidrenreich's best chance to make the roster is if he can be a factor on offense as a rusher and receiver but also impact the return game. Early reports are that he's as advertised and is going to make it tough to release him.
