CJ Weinstein flips, commits to UCLA

An LSU baseball signee has flipped his choice of school.

CJ Weinstein, a middle infielder from California, who was signed to play for Jay Johnson and the Tigers, has backed out of that commitment and will now play closer to home at UCLA.

The Orange Lutheran High product was ranked #149 by the MLB Draft rankings. Many scouts said he was a great left-handed bat for a middle infielder, something that Johnson and LSU have done a really nice job of finding in the past with guys like Steven Milam dominating the middle infield for the Bayou Bengals.

LSU now has 22 players committed for their Class of 2026 as they look to get back to the top of the college baseball mountain.
