Caden Curry's tenure with the Colts

The Colts selected Curry in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL draft. He was the 214th overall selection.

What to know about Caden Curry

Playing behind other future draft picks while at Ohio State, Curry had to wait for his opportunity defensively. That came in 2025, and he took advantage, with Curry seeing a big jump in production as he posted 46 pressures and 12 sacks, according to PFF.

Among defensive ends, he ranked 40th in pass rush win rate and was also one of PFF's highest-graded run defenders at this position group.

Looking ahead to 2026 for Caden Curry

With some unknowns around the Colts' defensive end depth, Curry could potentially carve out a role within this rotation. That said, there are more experienced players on the depth chart ahead of him, which could make cracking the top four in this rotation difficult.

Sometimes a fifth member of the defensive end rotation can earn snaps, but that's not as common, and the role is often small. Curry's versatility could help him earn some snaps.

His greatest impact as a rookie, however, may end up coming on special teams.

"He's smart enough that you can put him inside or he can stay on the edge," defensive line coach Marion Hobby said, via Colts.com. "You always want Swiss army knives in your room."
