David Malukas taken to hospital after IndyCar driver crashes in Nashville practice
Team Penske driver David Malukas was transported to the hospital following an IndyCar SeriesMusic City Grand Prix practice crash at Nashville Superspeedway on July 18.
Malukas made hard contact with the wall, primarily on the left side of his car, in turn 2 during the series' first practice at the 1.33-mile oval.
The No. 12 car lost control on its own in the middle of the corner, triggering the hard contact.
"David Malukas is being transported to a local hospital via private vehicle for further evaluation and testing, IndyCar deputy medical director Dr. Angela Fiege announced," IndyCar said in a statement on social media.
