Devon Witherspoon a top 3 corner for 2026 according to the AP

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Devon Witherspoon has been recognized among the elite at his position in the NFL this offseason, and that has continued this summer.

The Associated Press ranked Witherspoon T-No. 3 in their rankings of the top five cornerbacks in the NFL this year.

”Witherspoon made his third Pro Bowl in three seasons, earned second-team All-Pro honors and helped Seattle win the Super Bowl,” AP’s Rob Maaddi said. “…He surrendered 46 receptions in coverage and QBs had a 99.8 passer rating against him. Witherspoon appeared on four ballots,” AP’s Rob Maadi said.

Witherspoon was named a second-team All-Pro by The Associated Press for his performance in 2025 and his status as a defending champion gives credence to him being considered among the very best in the league at the cornerback slot.

Witherspoon was originally a first round pick in the 2023 NFL draft thanks to the Denver Broncos, who owed the Seahawks their first rounder that year as part of the infamous Russell Wilson trade. The young man from Illinois has helped completely transform Seattle's secondary, proving John Schneider (and then-head coach Pete Carroll) made the right decision moving off their star quarterback.
