Did former Patriot rat on team to Mike Macdonald before Super Bowl LX?

Seattle Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald admittedly sought out advice heading into Super Bowl LX against the New England Patriots. It was his first Super Bowl, and he was all ears for any tips to help out his team for the big game.

When appearing on the The Dan Patrick Show, Macdonald admitted to speaking with Super Bowl-winning head coach John Harbaugh. However, there was another person who "really helped" the Seahawks in their preparation that Macdonald would not mention by name because that person had a "conflict of interest."

"John Harbaugh and I talked. He was great. Probably can't mention one guy that really helped us out that had some conflict of interest," Macdonald said.

Keep in mind that Macdonald never said the person had a conflict of interest with the Patriots directly. He also eliminated Bill Belichick as the potential guilty party.

That didn't stop some fans from speculating on social media, with many landing on seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady as the person Macdonald could be talking about.

"Definitely Brady. Since he worked with McDaniels he probably gave him all his quirks and tricks," One X user wrote.

Another user followed with, "The amount of people saying Harbough is concerning, do y’all not actually listen to the clips? I’m going to guess it was Brady since Kubiak was going to the Raiders."

One user aimed at a former Patriots head coach by posting, "It's literally Pete Carroll with a fake mustache on. He couldn’t pass up a chance to draw up a Super Bowl defense against the Patriots."

The Seahawks dominated the Patriots in a 29-13 victory at Super Bowl LX. Drake Maye and company were completely stifled on offense in the head-to-head matchup.

And now, a new mystery lies in the wake of that game.
