Eagles RB Saquon Barkley's family unharmed after 5 a.m. home invasion, police say
Saquon Barkley and his family avoided injury after a home invasion at their residence in Tredyffrin Township, Pennsylvania, according to the Chester County District Attorney's office.
Capt. Tyler Moyer of the Tredyffrin Township Police Department told NBC Philadelphia that multiple suspects were involved, with only one entering the house, and they fled by the time police arrived. The Barkley family was reportedly inside the home at the time.
The invasion reportedly occurred at 5 a.m. on Saturday. Investigators reportedly believe nothing was taken from Barkley's home.
From NBC Philadelphia:
"All of the occupants in the home were physically OK, obviously a little unsettled as anybody would be, but nobody was harmed," Moyer said.
Moyer also reportedly said the local police are working with federal and other law enforcement agencies to determine if the break-in is related to any of the many burglaries that have occurred at professional athletes' homes in recent years.
The DA office requested people in the area check any home security cameras for suspicious activity from earlier Saturday morning. It also released a picture of a white SUV believed to be involved in the incident.
