Errol Spence faces Tim Tszyu, here's when and how to watch the action

Errol Spence Jr. has spent 36 months out of the boxing ring, but now he looks to erase the pain of 2023's defeat to Terence Crawford, returning to face former world champion Tim Tszyu in Australia.

It wasn't long ago Spence was considered among the top pound-for-pound fighters in the world, having long held three of the welterweight division's four titles. He then suffered a one-sided knockout loss to Crawford in an undisputed title fight, which led to a three-year hiatus from the sport.

Now under the tutelage of acclaimed trainer Ronnie Shields, Spence is traveling halfway across the world to kick off his comeback against Tszyu, who's 2-2 in his last four bouts.

"This feels similar to when I went over to England to fight Kell Brook," Spence said at media workouts on July 23. "The mentality doesn’t change at all. It’s me versus him and it’s everything on the line. The hunger is still there and I’m still here to show everyone that Errol Spence is still here."

The fight will be contested at 160 pounds, the middleweight division limit, after Spence's team requested a move from the originally planned 158-pound catchweight. Spence most recently competed at 147 pounds, while Tszyu last fought at a 157-pound catchweight.

Coverage of the Errol Spence vs. Tim Tszyu fight card in Australia will begin at 8 p.m. CT on July 25, with ring walks for the main event expected at approximately 10:45 p.m. Two preliminary fights will air prior to the main card, starting at 6 p.m.

The four-fight card, headlined by Spence vs. Tszyu, will air on both DAZN pay-per-view and Prime Video pay-per-view. It's the first Premier Boxing Champions card to air on DAZN since a broadcast partnership between the two was announced in July.

Spence is a former unified welterweight champion and pound-for-pound top 10 fighter in the world. He collected three titles in the welterweight division between 2017 and 2023 before facing Terence Crawford in an undisputed title fight that summer. He suffered a one-sided defeat, the first of his career, and has spent the last three years out of the ring.

Given his inactivity, Spence is unranked by all four major sanctioning bodies.

Tim Tszyu is 27-3 with 18 wins by knockout.

Tszyu is a former junior middleweight champion, having held the WBO belt between 2023 and 2024. He's suffered three defeats in his last six fights, twice to WBC champion Sebastian Fundora and once to then-IBF champion Bakhram Murtazaliev. He's since bounced back to win two straight fights by unanimous decision.

Tszyu is the WBO's No 1-ranked contender at 154 pounds, while he's ranked No. 5 and No. 6 by the WBC and IBF respectively.

Tszyu is 31 years old and stands at 5-foot-8½ with a 70½ inch reach. He's spent the majority of his career campaigning in the junior middleweight division (154-pound limit), but has fought just above the division's limit in each of his past two fights.
