Covenant Health Park will be in the national TV spotlight for the first time since the downtown stadium opened in 2025, with ESPN2 adding One Knoxville SC's match against Westchester SC to its upcoming broadcast schedule.

"Knoxville, the national spotlight is ours," the soccer club shared to social media July 21, announcing the upcoming broadcast.

The Sept. 27 match, scheduled for 6 p.m., will mark the third national television appearance for One Knox this season, but its first at home. The club's March 31 "Smoky Boot" victory over Asheville City SC aired on CBS Sports Network, while its July 2 win over AC Boise was broadcast on ESPN2.

The national coverage puts a spotlight on the success One Knox has experienced in its short stint as a professional club. Knoxville is the defending USL League One champion, winning both the regular season and postseason titles in 2025.

Success extended into 2026, with One Knox climbing to No. 1 on the points table with a five-match point streak prior to its July 18 loss to AV Alta. Knoxville has 33 points, one point ahead of second-place Union Omaha.

Westchester sits in 14th place with just 15 points and hasn't won a match since June 19.

Why is One Knox SC's USL League One match on ESPN2?

The ESPN family of networks agreed to a multiyear partnership in 2024 to provide coverage of more than 400 live games per year between the USL Championship and USL League One. Alongside ESPN+ coverage, Sports Business Journal reported in 2024 the deal includes a "minimum of 10 matches on its cable networks."

The national broadcast schedule shows 35 games in 2026 will be televised across CBS Television Network, CBS Sports Network and ESPN2. The original schedule showed eight matches to be streamed on ESPN2 before One Knox's match against Westchester was added for Sept. 27.

Has there ever been a TV game at Covenant Health Park?

Though One Knox SC hosted the 2025 USL League One Championship, the match wasn't selected for national TV and was instead broadcast via the CBS Sports Golazo Network streaming platform.

Every One Knox home match is streamed on ESPN+, but the stadium has never hosted a nationally televised event.

Though the Savannah Bananas occasionally appear on ESPN, their May games in Knoxville were never shown on TV. The Neyland Stadium spectacle appeared on ESPN Unlimited and Disney+, while the game at Covenant Health Park was streamed on the viral team's YouTube channel.

All Knoxville Smokies games are broadcast via MiLB.TV or the Bally Sports app.
