FIFA release face value front-row tickets for World Cup final and they’re an ‘outrageous’ price

An awful lot of attention has been paid towards the sheer cost of attending games during the FIFA World Cup 2026 in the United States.

Fans expressing their disbelief at the money involved in simply going to a game has been a theme of the tournament, with many suggesting it is the most expensive World Cup of all time.

Clearly, that has not stopped thousands of fans from attending games all over the country, but the discourse has not gone away.

With the final in sight, seeing tickets get even more expensive always felt like a likely outcome.

To say that has proven to be the case would be an understatement.

Some front row tickets to World Cup final 2026 cost $32,970

As noted by the Ticket Data Keith account on social media platform X, there are some eye-wateringly expensive front-row tickets for the World Cup final in New Jersey on sale.

Incredibly, they are said to be the price at face value, rather than being sold on at a huge profit after the initial purchase.

The World Cup final will take place at the New York New Jersey Stadium (otherwise known as the MetLife Stadium) on Sunday July 19.

While the teams competing are clearly yet to be determined, FIFA appear to have released a few dozen tickets in the front row for the showpiece event.

They currently stand at a huge $32,970 (roughly £24,603) each. The account notes that this is the highest face value price they have ever seen, slamming it as “outrageous”.

The World Cup final only rolls around once every four years. There simply isn’t a bigger game in the entire sport, so there is always huge interest in it.

The stadium will no doubt be fully sold out regardless of who plays in it, but one can certainly expect more stories like this the closer we get to the final.
