Georgia QB Gunner Stockton disrespected ahead of 2026 season
The Georgia Bulldogs will enter the 2026 season with one of the most talented offenses in college football. Georgia’s offense features a plethora of returning veterans in 2026, and the Dawgs will look to pick up right where they left off after wining the SEC championship and making the College Football Palyoff last year.
Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton is back Athens for his senior season as the Bulldogs’ signal caller. The talented quarterback was a star in 2025, as Stockton recorded 2,894 yards and 24 touchdowns across his junior year. Stockton is regarded as one of the top quarterbacks in the nation entering the 2026 season, but Pro Football Focus’s Dalton Wasserman and Max Chadwick believe otherwise.
The PFF duo recently released their ranking of the top 50 players in college football entering 2026, and Stockton was not featured on the list. Georgia has just one player featured in PFF’s rankings with Stockton being excluded. KJ Bolden is the lone Bulldog on the list at No. 11, as the safety is considered to be one of the top players at his position entering the 2026 season.
PFF listing just one Bulldog as a top 50 player in the nation entering the year is a major surprise to many. Stockton should have no problem emerging as a top player in the nation and the quarterback will enter 2026 with a massive chip on his shoulder following last season's playoff elimination.
