Gulacsi on the brink of departing RB Leipzig for Villarreal
With Maarten Vandevoordt considered the new Number 1 going into the 2026-27 season, Peter Gulacsi is planning his RB Leipzig exit.
According to Fabrizio Romano's sources, the 36-year-old goalkeeper is closing in on a transfer to La Liga outfit Villarreal CF.
Negotiations between the clubs are said to be in full swing, with Villarreal reportedly almost in agreement with the Hungarian international.
If the deal goes through as expected, Gulácsi will leave Leipzig after 362 competitive appearances and one DFB Pokal victory.
It's quite possible that RB will bring in a similarly experienced alternative who would be content with a place on the bench.
