Joe Burrow says on 'Quarterback' his friends made fun of Joe Flacco

One of the funnier moments of the third season of Netflix's "Quarterback" starring the Cincinnati Bengals' Joe Flacco featured Bengals starting quarterback Joe Burrow telling teammates, including Flacco, that his buddies were poking fun at the 41-year-old signal-caller, who is entering his 19th NFL season.

"My friends were making fun of how he sits on the bench on the sideline," Burrow joked. "They were like, 'He just looks like an old wise man.'"

Last October, Flacco completed 31 of 47 attempts for 342 passing yards with three touchdowns in the Bengals' 33-31 win against Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Dubbed the "Icy Hot Bowl," it was the second time in NFL history that two quarterbacks at least 40 years old faced off in a regular-season or postseason game.

When the Bengals and Steelers met again in November, Flacco said of a penalized hit by TJ Watt that the Steelers' linebacker "knew what he was doing."

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco (16) watches a replay after throwing a long touchdown pass to wide receiver Tee Higgins (5) in the second quarter of the NFL Week 8 game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the New York Jets at Paycor Stadium in downtown Cincinnati on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2025.

"But that's football. That's the Steelers' defense," Flacco added.
