Juventus and Roma want Julian Brandt, but a Premier League move is more likely

Juventus and AS Roma want to sign Julian Brandt this summer, according to Gianluca DiMarzio. 

The former Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder is a free agent, and the Serie A duo are on his trail.

However, he is more likely to move to the Premier League, with a few clubs circling to secure his signature.

The 30-year-old is still a fine playmaker who can do a job for top-to-mid-table sides in the English top flight.

The German international bagged 11 goals and four assists in 41 appearances last term, taking his tally for BVB to 57 goals and 70 assists in 307 appearances following his move from Bayer Leverkusen. 

Brandt never quite hit the heights expected of him in his early career due to inconsistency, but he is still an excellent player on his day.

Perhaps, in a new environment, he might enjoy a new lease of life, even though interested Premier League sides should be worried about his physicality and tendency to drift away in games.

Bournemouth might be perfect for Brandt

Bournemouth should be at the front of the queue if they are serious about adding creativity and experience ahead of their first-ever European campaign.

Brandt would provide genuine competition for Justin Kluivert while also offering the versatility to operate centrally or from either flank, giving the Cherries another attacking dimension. 

His previous spell under Marco Rose at Borussia Dortmund is another significant advantage, as the pair already understand each other’s demands and tactical approach. 

That familiarity could help Brandt settle quickly and make an immediate impact. 

With the added fixture load that comes with European football, Bournemouth need proven quality and depth rather than relying on the same core players every week. 

On a free transfer, Brandt represents a low-risk opportunity with the potential to become one of the smartest signings of the summer.
