Run, Konnor, run.
Konnor Griffin, the Pittsburgh Pirates' rookie phenom, is doing just that, and in historic fashion.
There's really two aspects to what Griffin is up to lately: a streak, and history.
The first is this -- Griffin has stolen a base in four consecutive games. And it's actually five steals across four games, because he swiped two bags on the Fourth of July.
Griffin has also stolen six bags in his last six games, with a steal on June 29 before being held off the basepaths altogether on June 30.
When Griffin reaches first on either a single or a walk, he's often running. That's also helped him make Pittsburgh history.
Konnor Griffin makes Pirates history
Griffin is the fastest player in Pirates history to reach 20 steals, according to DK Pittsburgh Sports.
His swipe on Sunday was his 20th of the season:

That'd be an impressive record no matter how Griffin got there, but it's even more remarkable when you consider how many times Griffin has been caught.
He's 20-for-21 stealing this season. Yep, only thrown out once.
Griffin was known to be a power-speed guy as he arrived with much fanfare in the majors this season, and he's certainly shown early just how stellar his speed is.
Listed at 6-foot-3, 222 pounds, Griffin gives off some vibes of an early-career Mike Trout, like a dominant linebacker running all over the field.
It's fun to watch, and the Pirates should have many more years to enjoy this.
