Lady Vols-Vanderbilt basketball series

Tennessee (16-11, 8-7) will play No. 5 Vanderbilt (26-3, 12-3 SEC) Sunday in a regular-season finale for both schools.

Tipoff between the Lady Vols and Commodores is slated for 2 p.m. EST at Food City Center. ESPN will televise the contest.

Sunday will mark the 93rd meeting between the two in-state schools. Tennessee has a record of 80-12 in previous games in the all-time series, dating to the 1975-76 season. Tennessee is 37-1 in games contested in Knoxville, and has won eight of the last 10 games in the series. The Commodores have won the last two games between the two schools.

The schools first played on Jan. 18, 1976 with Tennessee earning a, 96-27, victory.
