LeBron James sends message to Caitlin Clark before WNBA season

LeBron James hyped Caitlin Clark on Instagram ahead of the start of the WNBA season. The NBA superstar dropped a comment on the Indiana Fever star guard’s post on Monday. It featured seven of her photos from the team’s media day and preseason games.

With five days to go before Indiana’s season opener, Clark let her followers know that she is ready for her sixth campaign.

“Year 3!!! See you all soon ❤️‍🔥,” Clark wrote.

The Los Angeles Lakers forward kept his comment short, but the message was clear.

“LFG!!!!!!!! 💪🏾,” James commented.

The 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year was limited to 13 games last season due to a groin injury. She is back to full strength and is ready to lead her team to a deep playoff run or a potential championship.

Clark and the Fever will start their regular season with a home matchup against the Dallas Wings on Saturday. They went 2-1 in the preseason, including Saturday’s 105-57 victory over the Nigeria national team.

Meanwhile, James and Los Angeles will begin their Western Conference semifinals series against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday. They advanced to the second round after defeating the Houston Rockets in six games.1. LeBron James

LeBron James and Caitlin Clark: Greatness recognizes greatness

James and Clark are widely considered two of the most popular basketball players in the world. The four-time NBA MVP has also given his support to her in the past, including an Instagram post in May 2025.

“Good luck and DO YOU per usual this season!!!” James wrote.

The Lakers are looking to upset the Thunder to reach the conference finals. However, it won’t be easy, as Luka Doncic remains sidelined with a Grade 2 hamstring strain.

Clark, on the other hand, has a chance to bounce back strong after a shortened 2025 season. Along with Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston, they are aiming to lead the Fever to their first championship since 2012.
