Liga F: Spain legend Vicky Losada joins FC Badalona from Bristol City
Spanish legend Vicky Losada has returned to home soil as she joins Liga F side FC Badalona on a season-long loan from Bristol City.
The talented midfielder signed for Bristol City only last summer. Losada made just 13 appearances for the WSL2 side in 2025/2026, scoring a singular goal. The Bristol-based club finished fourth place in what is seen as a disappointing end to the league season.
“I was really looking forward to coming home, and the Badalona project, with the support of Mercury 13, captivated me,” Losada said on her move. “We’re at an ideal point of growth to build a competitive team.”
A giant step for FC Badalona
The Spaniard brings a wealth of experience to the Badalona set-up. Losada has represented Barcelona at three separate intervals alongside stints at Arsenal, Manchester City, Roma and others.
Losada has won 28 senior trophies during her career, including the UEFA Women’s Champions League in 2021, the Liga F six separate times, and the Serie A title in 2023.

Sporting Director of Badalona Ferran Cabello labelled the signing of Losada as ‘a giant step’ for the Spanish team as they look to continue investment.
Women’s football investment group bought a stake in Badalona earlier in March 2026. The group also has a stake in Bristol City, where Losada is transferring from, and Como in Italy.
There has been much criticism and fear amongst the women’s football community and fans around multi-club ownership and transfers like this between teams in the same ownership group will surely stir up more discourse.
