LSU baseball pitcher transfers to Pac-12 school
Former LSU baseball pitcher Jaden Noot found a new home in the Pac-12. He transferred to San Diego State, according to a post from the team on Thursday. After over a month in the transfer portal, Noot knows where he'll play next year.
As a redshirt junior in 2026, Noot made two starts and eight appearances out of the bullpen. The right-handed pitcher got a spot start here and there throughout his time with LSU, but was mainly used as a high-leverage reliever.
Noot spent four years in Baton Rouge, sitting out his first year after undergoing Tommy John surgery before making one appearance in April 2024. His most successful season donning the purple and gold came in 2025 as he helped lead LSU to the national championship.
Noot made 20 appearances, including five starts, last year. He posted a 4.13 ERA and 44 strikeouts over 32.2 innings of work. He pitched a scoreless relief inning against Arkansas in the College World Series. The righty also logged postseason outings against Little Rock and Ole Miss. He held the Rebels to one earned run over four innings as a starter in the SEC Tournament.

Losing Noot hurts LSU's bullpen depth and experience level, but it did well in attracting high-ceiling pitchers out of the transfer portal.
