Managing Madrid Readers Overwhelmingly Back France’s Madridistas to Win the World Cup
Managing Madrid readers have made their choice, and the verdict could hardly have been more decisive:
When asked which remaining Real Madrid player had the best chance of winning the 2026 World Cup, 88% of respondents selected France’s Kylian Mbappé and Aurélien Tchouaméni.
The French duo finished well clear of every other option in the poll, reflecting the confidence readers have in France’s ability to navigate the final stages of the tournament and lift the trophy.
Jude Bellingham placed second with 7% of the vote, while Marc Cucurella received 4%. Brahim Díaz rounded out the results with 1%.
The poll shows that Managing Madrid readers view France as the clear favorite among the national teams still featuring Real Madrid players. With Mbappé leading the attack and Tchouaméni anchoring the midfield (although he’s missed a couple games due to injury), the pair have a strong opportunity to return to Madrid as world champions.
The semi-finals will now determine whether the community’s overwhelming prediction proves correct.
